SURRENDER!

When we are down, healthwise, financially, family burdens, sorrows, mourning.. etc. etc., we often find ourself with a Constant Prayer on Our lips and in our hearts.
“Oh God if….” Oh God please….”
Always religious, in constant prayers, and many cannot understand God’s apparent failure to intervene in our misfortunes, or to ignore our most heartfelt pleas.
Finally, Overwhelmed by despair, one gives up prayer completely.
That “surrender’ marked the beginning of my own awakening.
When I stopped giving ‘orders’ to my Higher Power, I became open to God’s will.
When my meditation became silent rather than word-filled, I was ready for God’s desires to be made known to me— not every day, and not always when I longed for answers, but without fail whenever God had a message for me.
I began setting aside twenty minutes at the start of every day to open my heart to my Higher Power’s direction.
Faithfully honoring that daily quiet time was a challenge at first, but I suceeded in doing so, and my life soon began to change in many positive ways.
Daily affirmation:
Today I will remember that in the stillness there is peace.
